“All the Arts for All the Kids” Artist Greg Adamson

Cellist Greg Adamson, an “All the Arts for All the Kids” artist/educator for over ten years, was the only music teacher in Orange County to receive the “Honor an Educator” award from the College of Education at California State University, Fullerton in 2008.
He has performed with an eclectic and impressive list of companies and bands, from Hutchins Consort to the Riverside Philharmonic to Elton John, Guns ‘n Roses, and Rod Stewart (and that’s only naming a few!).
Entering one of his “All the Arts” classrooms the students eagerly greet him with an enthusiastic “BUONGIORNO!” – hands to their lips and extending them out in a very Italian fashion. . . more >>
(Children Reaching Excellence in the Arts and Academics Through Engagement)
is a comprehensive arts education model that provides sequential, standards-based lessons in music, visual art, dance, theatre and digital filmmaking to second through sixth grade students in the Fullerton School District.
Serving at-risk students in Title 1 schools, Project CREATE!incorporates in-depth and ongoing professional development for classroom teachers, who learn to implement powerful integrated art lessons via strong collaboration with expert artist/educators and curriculum experts in mathematics and reading.
Based on the hypothesis that creative instruction in and through the arts leads to increased student engagement and academic achievement, Project CREATE! incorporates a rigorous evaluation plan that will track student progress in the arts, in mathematics and in reading, over a four-year period.
